Rodeo de Santa Fe and Santa Fe County have combined their contest. We are currently accepting applications for the 2015 Rodeo Royalty contest. Queen contestants must be between the ages of 18 and 25. Princess contestants must be between age 13 and 17. All candidates must live within a 50 mile radius of Santa Fe County. The contest will be held at the Santa Fe Rodeo Arena May 18th 1:00pm. We will be accepting applications until 5:00 May 10th. The contestants will be judged on knowledge of PRCA rodeo, animal welfare, horsemanship, outgoingness, and public speaking. The Queen will receive a $1000 scholarship or a custom saddle, custom made crown, buckle and sash. The Princess receives a custom made crown, buckle and sash. The incoming royalty will be crowned during the rodeo’s Saturday evening performance. The ladies will be representing Rodeo de Santa Fe and the Santa Fe County Fair at various functions during the year. The 2015 Queen will have the opportunity to compete for StateFair Queen in Albuquerque in Sept., Miss Turquoise Circuit in Las Cruces in Oct., and or Miss Rodeo New Mexico in Clovis in June 2015, Any Interested young women should contact Beth (505) 490-3008 for applications and information.

Miriah Borrego Gonzales
Miriah Borrego Gonzales is 21 years old and the daughter of Karmella and Pat. Miriah is a junior at New Mexico State University where she is pursuing a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Miriah maintains a 3.8 GPA, is a crimson scholar, a student ambassador for the College of Education and a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Miriah enjoys hunting and fishing, camping, volleyball, tennis, riding horses and spending time with her family. Miriah says she feels blessed and humbled to have the opportunity to represent the Rodeo de Santa Fe as their 2014 Rodeo Queen. She hopes to not only promote the sport of rodeo but also the great traditions and values that are part of the cowboy and cowgirl way of life.

Shania Borrego is the 2014 Santa Fe Rodeo Fair Princess. Shania is 16 years old, the daughter of Bobby Borrego and Debbie Romero a sophomore at Santa Fe High School. Shania has been a member and completed in the New Mexico High School Rodeo Association, Rodeo de Santa Fe Barrel Racers, New Mexico Junior High Rodeo Association, Bosque Farms Rodeo Association and many other junior rodeos throughout New Mexico. Shania competes in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, and goat tying. She is also a member of the Northern New Mexico Volleyball Association. Her passions are volleyball, rodeo and spending time with her family.
